A delegation from the city of Tripoli after meeting with the President of the Republic:

We briefed President Joseph Aoun on the situation in Tripoli following the disaster that occurred in the city.

• We sensed great concern and pain regarding what the city is suffering. The President of the Republic is following up on the disaster’s repercussions, monitoring the steps announced by the Prime Minister’s office yesterday to implement them, and making calls for assistance.

Tripoli suffers from chronic marginalisation that requires serious intervention.

We appeal to all those with good will to help and not hesitate, as the situation is serious and the disaster is great in the region.
