Municipalities
The Al Fayhaa Union, also known as Urban Community Al Fayhaa and hereinafter referred to as Al Fayhaa Union, was established in 1982 by Decree No. 5234 with a membership comprised of the municipalities of Tripoli, Mina, and Beddawi. More recently, the Municipality of Qalamoun joined the union in July 2014 per Decree No. 150/2014. the union is located on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea and bordered by the districts of Dinnieh, Zgharta, and Koura, occupying an area of around 33 km2 within the northern governorate of Lebanon . In addition to its Lebanese residents, the region is home to Syrian and Palestinian refugees. Tripoli, the biggest among the four municipalities, is the second largest city in Lebanon
