The head of the Union of Municipalities of al Fayhaa, Engineer Wael Zmerli, is closely monitoring the developments of the water disaster in the city of Tripoli, caused by the collapses that occurred at the Hab Spring, which is the main source of the city’s water supply.
In this context, Engineer Zmrli participated in the extended meeting held at the Engineers’ Syndicate in Tripoli, attended by the Minister of Energy and Water, Mr. Joe Al-Sadi, the city’s MPs, the Governor of North Lebanon, Ms. Iman Al-Rafii, the General Director of the North Water Establishment and the Mayor of Tripoli, Dr. Abdul Hamid Karima, and several concerned parties.
Engineer Zmrli confirmed that the Union of Municipalities is continuing to follow up on this vital issue and maintain constant coordination with the relevant official authorities, aiming to reach quick and effective solutions that alleviate the citizens’ suffering and ensure the continuous supply of water to the city of Tripoli.
Zmrli also emphasised, through his media interventions, the importance of rationalising water consumption during this critical phase, calling on citizens to cooperate and take collective responsibility to reduce waste until the repercussions of this emergency crisis are overcome.
